- Italy charges VAT, called IVA. Italian vendors quote prices plus IVA, which means before VAT. Source
- Retail traders must record takings electronically and send them to the Agenzia delle Entrate, using a registratore telematico or the Agency's free web procedure 'Documento commerciale online'. The old paper scontrino or ricevuta can no longer be issued. This applied from 1 July 2019 above €400,000 turnover and from 1 January 2020 for everyone else. Source
