Yes. You scan a barcode or tap an item and can print your own barcode labels. Loose goods by the kilo come from a label-scale barcode. Each delivery keeps its cost and expiry date, so you see what is going off in 30, 60 or 90 days.
The counter keeps billing and sends the bills when the internet is back.
Customers in Uganda pay by MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Bank transfer, Cards, Cash. You take the payment on the POS machine / card machine you already own or in cash, and Nivasik records it on the bill. It does not process card payments, so there are no processing fees from us.
From 1 July 2025, businesses in listed sectors, including accommodation and food service and wholesale and retail of fuel, must use EFRIS to issue e-invoices and e-receipts, in addition to VAT-registered taxpayers. Small businesses in those sectors with turnover under UGX 10,000,000 a year are not required to, but may. Where a certified or registered system is required, keep it and use Nivasik beside it for stock, staff and expenses. You set the tax rate on each item and your accountant files; Nivasik does not file tax or connect to a tax authority.
