Nivasik sends each round of an order to the kitchen as a numbered KOT, printed, on a kitchen screen, or both. The screen shows age and a due time. A cook marks each dish cooking and ready. A dish taken off prints a cancel slip for the kitchen.

How it runs, in order
- A waiter or cashier sends the round.
- It prints as a KOT and appears on the kitchen screen.
- A cook taps each dish: cooking, then ready.
- The waiter's phone buzzes when the ticket is done.
- A voided dish prints a cancel slip.
- A remake is marked so the cook knows it is not a new order.

What it does not do
Said plainly, before you decide
- Kitchen tickets need the internet; they do not go out from an offline counter.
- There is no built-in Bluetooth printing. Bills print through the phone's or computer's print window, on 2, 3, 4 or 5 inch rolls.
- There is no kitchen hardware to buy; any tablet or browser works.
