Staff management
Staff management software for hotels, restaurants and shops
Who may open what, which requests reach whose phone, what a cashier may not do alone — and a record of who did what that nobody can tidy up later.
Free for 45 days · no card · we do the setup
Nivasik gives every person their own login, with a role that pre-fills the screens they may open and the requests that reach their phone. Sensitive actions at the till need a manager’s PIN, work is counted from what people actually closed, and a record of who did what cannot be edited or deleted.
Staff, roles and per-person permissions come with every plan from ₹2,999 per property a month — priced per property, not per person.
Roles that decide something
Picking a role fills in two grids at once — the screens and the request categories — for hotels and for shops alike.
| Role | Opens by default | Requests that reach them |
|---|---|---|
| Receptionist | Tickets, front desk, reservations, guests, rooms, folios, payments | Front desk and amenities |
| Housekeeping | Tickets, the housekeeping board, rooms, lost and found | Housekeeping |
| Maintenance | Tickets, assets, preventive maintenance, inventory, vendors, rooms | Repairs, plumbing and electrical |
| Security | Tickets, rooms, lost and found | Security |
| Restaurant | Tickets and the POS | Amenities |
| Cashier (shop) | Tickets, intake, the POS and the cash drawer | Billing or payment |
| Captain (waiter) | Opens straight into the captain app | Customer complaints |
| Kitchen (cook) | Opens straight into the kitchen screen | Out of stock, equipment, fridge or freezer |
| Manager | Everything that can be granted, and approves with a PIN | Everything |
A role is a starting point, not a lock: tick or untick any screen or request category for one person. The screens a person may open are enforced by the server, not merely hidden.
Requests reach the right phone
An assignment rule sends each category to the person who handles it, and their phone rings. On the Android app a critical request raises a full-screen alert that can be heard through a silent phone; in the browser it arrives as a notification. The person sees their own jobs, not the owner’s numbers.
Every request carries one name and a clock. If the acknowledge or resolve target for its category is missed, it escalates up the chain and the next person is notified — so an ignored request becomes visible to someone, instead of to nobody.
Work counted from what was done
Productivity comes with Pro and the till’s record with the POS; the rest is in every plan.
Productivity per person
Real work across tickets resolved, rooms cleaned, check-ins handled and orders taken — which is how you find out whether you are staffed for the season you are actually in.
Response and resolution times
Per person and per category, from the timestamps on every request, not from anybody’s memory of the week.
A record that stays
Permissions changed, prices changed, a day ended, an expense booked: one line per thing a person did, written by the database itself. It cannot be edited or deleted.
The till’s own record
Every approved void, refund, free item, discount and price change lands on the owner’s record with who asked and who approved.
A shift, from the staff side
- Sign in on their own phone — the browser, or the Android app. One tap switches the whole app to Hindi; names, room numbers and amounts stay as they are.
- See only their work. A housekeeper opens to the housekeeping board, a cook to the kitchen screen, a waiter to the captain app.
- Get the job with a clock on it. Acknowledge it, do it, resolve it; the timestamps write themselves.
- Ask for a say-so at the till when something needs a manager, without leaving the counter.
- Hand over. What is still open is still open for the next shift, with its history attached.
What it does not do
Staff management covers who does what; a few people-related jobs are elsewhere or absent.
Not included, said plainly
- There is no shift roster or scheduling screen.
- Attendance is marked on the screen; there is no biometric device, face or GPS check-in.
- Salary, advances and payslips live in People and pay, which comes with the Group plan — see the attendance and salary page.
- The full-screen alert that rings through a silent phone is on the Android app only. It is not on Google Play yet, and on an iPhone the product runs from Safari on the home screen.
- The interface is in English and Hindi only.
What it costs
Staff, roles, per-person permissions, reports and the Android alert app are in Core at ₹2,999 per property a month; productivity comes with Pro at ₹4,999. The price never counts people — add every housekeeper, technician and manager. Till permissions come with the POS at ₹1,499 per outlet.
Questions people ask
Do I pay per staff member?
No. Nivasik is priced per property, so every housekeeper, cook, technician and manager can have a login without changing the bill.
Can staff use their own phones?
Yes. Nivasik runs in the browser on any phone, and there is an Android app downloaded from nivasik.com. Nobody needs an app store account to start.
Can a staff member see only their own work?
Yes. Each person sees the screens their role allows, a housekeeper sees their own jobs and not the owner’s numbers, and salaries are visible only to the owner and to each person for themselves.
Is the staff app available in Hindi?
Yes. One tap on each phone switches the interface to Hindi, so a housekeeper and a receptionist can each use the language they read best.
What happens if someone ignores a request?
Its clock keeps running on screen. When the target for that category is missed, it escalates up the chain and the next person is notified.
Is there a free staff management app?
Nivasik is free for 45 days with everything unlocked. After that, staff management is part of every plan, from ₹2,999 per property a month.
